What’s Included

Includes trenches, bedding, piping, cleanouts, and pressure/leak testing. Does not include finish plumbing fixtures, gas lines, or backfill/gravel.
Notes:
includes groundworks, under-slab, pressure lines, DWV, hose bibbs, shower blocking, test setup
Builder Tips:
Provide a final foundation and basement layout to avoid guesswork in drain locations.
Request clear separation of labor and materials if pricing varies.
Ask if trenching or gravel base is included — this can overlap with excavation or flatwork scopes.
Ensure plumber stubs out water and sewer connections above slab for mechanical tie-in later.
If you’re on septic, verify stub height and tank connection plan before inspection.

FAQ
Q: Does sub-rough include gas lines?
A: No, gas piping is typically part of the mechanical or HVAC bid.
Q: Do plumbers provide gravel or bedding?
A: Sometimes — ask if it’s included or coordinated with excavation or flatwork.
Q: Is this scope inspected?
A: Yes. Most cities require a pressure or flow test before backfill and concrete pour.
Q: What happens if the drain layout changes?
A: Any layout changes after the pour will require core drilling or trenching, costly and best avoided with clear plans.
