Interior Hardware
Utah Interior Hardware costs. This line item covers knobs, levers, hinges, and specialty door hardware for all interior rooms in the home.
What’s Included:
Includes supply and install of passage sets, privacy locks, hinges, and stops for bedrooms, bathrooms, closets, and hallways. Scope also includes dummy knobs for double doors and magnetic catches where specified. Excludes cabinetry pulls and exterior door hardware (which are handled under separate bids).
Notes:
interior door hardware, cabinet pulls/knobs, front entry handle sets, and basic install
Builder Tips:
Confirm finish early — black and satin nickel are most common in Utah builds, but lead times vary by brand. Check hinge count on taller 8’ doors (often 3 vs 4). Some builders include door stops; others don’t. Lever-style handles are more ADA-friendly and popular in new construction.
Real World Example:
A 4,600 sq ft home with 40 interior doors (bedrooms, baths, closets):
Mid-range lever set: ~$45 each
Hinges + stops + install: ~$20/door
Total: ~40 × ($45 + $20) = $2,600 for complete hardware set
