Interior Painting

Utah Interior Painting. This is the final finish that sets the tone for every room. Walls, ceilings, trim, and doors all get color and protection here.

What’s Included

Includes priming and painting of all interior drywall surfaces, ceilings, trim, baseboards, doors, and closets. Standard finish is eggshell or matte on walls, flat on ceilings, and semi-gloss on trim/doors. Price varies based on wall height, number of coats, and if two-tone or accent walls are included. Does not include stain-grade trim or cabinetry.

Notes:

  • Includes all materials and paint/stain

Builder Tips:

  • Confirm if paint is one color throughout or if you want accent walls, ceilings, or two-tone trim. Ask whether your painter sprays trim or brushes — sprayed trim looks cleaner but needs more prep. For stain-grade millwork, confirm if painting crew handles masking or if it's separate. Don’t skip primer — especially on new drywall or MDF trim.

Real World Example:

A 4,200 sq ft home with 9' ceilings, white trim, two-tone walls, and sprayed finish:
  • Mid-range labor and paint: $2.25–$2.75/sq ft

  • Total: 4,200 × $2.50 = $10,500

  • Includes walls, ceilings, trim, and doors (excludes cabinetry)

FAQ

Q: Does this include paint?

Q: Can I request custom colors?

A: Yes, but multiple colors or accent walls may cost more.

Q: Is spraying better than rolling?

A: Spraying gives a smoother finish, especially on trim, but requires more masking and protection.

Q: Does this include cabinetry?

A: No — cabinetry finishing is a separate trade.
